Petten is the perfect starting point for many walking routes through the dunes, over dykes, along the coastline and through the wooded Pettemerduinen. In addition, there are many routes that pass by the impressive Paaldorp, a beautiful work of art consisting of 160 poles arranged in the shape of houses and a church. This refers to Old Petten, which was flooded by the sea long ago. These walking routes are also suitable for active seniors.
This simple and freely accessible walking route takes you along the Hazedijk, the Ringdijk and the Hazepolder.
This route goes via Spreeuwendijk through the woods of the Pettemerduinen, managed by Staatsbosbeheer, and over Zijperzeedijk.
